Linden Comansa in Brussels, the heart of Europe

In the historical center of Brussels, only a few steps away from the "Place du Grand Sablon" and of the Courthouse, former Prince Albert barracks are going to be object of important reforms due to an enormous real-estate project. In 2010, luxury apartments, with an incomparable situation in the capital of the UE, will see the light in these former military facilities.

To finish this great work in an ideal form, a new 21LC290 crane from Linden Comansa has just been erected by Brualfa, exclusive dealer of the Spanish manufacturer in Benelux.

The necessities of this work require a crane with a 60 meters under hook height and a another 60 meters of jib length. At this height, Brussels’ grey sky dyes to blue color due to the impressive jib of this splendid machine.

This has been Brualfa’s first erection of a 21LC290. Despite the lack of experience with this crane, a good preparation in their facilities and a great organization without mistakes, have allowed a very fast assembly. It has been amazing to see five of Brualfa’s technical personnel mounting the different elements of this crane, in only day and a half!

According to the chief of the technical team "The conception of this crane allows a one day erection. It has been our first assembly of this crane, so we will do better from now on. Also, the glacial cold and the snow made the work much harder".

There is no doubt that this crane will fulfill with the execution speed requirements of this work. Its main work will consist in raising three-ton prefab elements and displacing them along the 60 meters long jib… no problem for the 21LC290!

Due to this work, and others similar in Bruges and Alsemberg, where other Linden Comansa cranes are already giving great satisfaction to its users, Brualfa confronts the international crisis with optimism while its rental fleet grows around the whole Belgian territory.
