A brief guide to the EC Declaration of Conformity

The tower crane manufacturers organized in CECE’s (Comittee for European Construction Equipment) section III (Tower Cranes), including Linden Comansa, have developed a brief guide about the EC Declaration of Conformity, informing customers and users of Tower Cranes.

The EC Declaration of Conformity is the written document required to accompany all goods sold in the European Union using the CE mark (an acronym for the French "Conformité Européenne”).

The CECE Brochure explains which European directives tower cranes have to fulfill and what customers should check when buying a new tower crane and receiving the Declaration of Conformity. This guide is intended to remove some confusion which may exist about the contents of this EC Declaration of Conformity as it applies to Tower Cranes, by providing an example plus an explanation.
